Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is back and ready to light-up the city, showing the world how to party into 2026 with four days of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations from Monday 29 December 2025 to Thursday 01 January 2026, featuring fantastic live music, spectacular fireworks and the world-famous Hogmanay Street Party.
Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is Scotland’s New Year festival, commencing with the much-loved Torchlight Procession on 29 December, followed by Night Afore activities on 30 December before the world-famous Hogmanay Street Party and Concert in the Gardens on Hogmanay night, culminating in the all-important Countdown to the Bells and Midnight Fireworks, visible across the city centre skyline. Audiences on New Year’s Day can enjoy a free musical and cultural programme, joining the First Footin’ Trail and family-focused Sprogmanay programme taking place in various venues across the city.
As always, the arrangements for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay outdoor events will also involve a number of road closures and parking restrictions in the city centre to facilitate the events taking place, which unfortunately can bring some disruption, particularly to traffic flows, parking and loading.
