Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is Scotland’s world-famous New Year festival and presents four days of spectacular events, incredible bands and unique audiences from every corner of the globe. Welcome to the Home of Hogmanay!

There are accessible viewing spaces available at the Hogmanay event, these are limited in line with our capacity, so please contact the Box Office to secure at space [email protected] or call 0131 623 3033

Patrons who would be unable to attend any of the events without the aid of a Personal Assistant (PA) are entitled to bring a PA with them for free. Please contact the box office to discuss this with a team member who can assist you with booking tickets. 

There are several public Blue Badge parking around the Edinburgh's Hogmanay sites. Please visit https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/parking-spaces/find-parking-bays for more information.

The closest parking spaces to the Street Party's East and West entrances are West Register Street (East), 23 Waterloo Place (East), and 18 Charlotte Square (west). 

Assistance Dogs are welcome at Edinburgh's Hogmanay. However, please remember that the event is extremely busy and there are extensive hourly firework displays and loud live musical performances throughout that might distress them. 
 



Torchlight Procession

Site Description

This event takes place in the City Centre, where most surfaces are standard roads, cobbled streets, or public paths.

Please note that the Torchlight Procession is an all-standing event with no seating areas available, and it can become very busy. The route is approximately 1.5km long. 

There are Dip & Tip points marked throughout the Procession, with exit points along the route should you wish to leave the Procession. Event Stewards and staff will be on site to assist where needed. 

 

Accessible Toilets

Gender neutral accessible toilets can be located at The Meadows. 
 



Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party 

Site Description

This event takes place in the City Centre, where most surfaces are standard roads or public paths 

Tram lines run along the middle of Princes Street. 

Please note the Street Party is an all-standing event with no seating areas available, and it can become very busy. 

 

Accessible Viewing Area

We will have an Accessible Viewing Area within the event. Spaces are limited, therefore, we have created an expression of interest form. Please contact us on [email protected] for more information.

A dedicated Accessible Entrance via our East Gate on Princes Street will provide direct access to this viewing area.

Concert in the Gardens

Site Description

This event takes place in the City Centre, where most surfaces are standard roads or public paths 

As this event space is sloped, the general admission spaces are not wheelchair accessible.

Please note the Concert in the Gardens is an all-standing event with no seating areas available, and it can become very busy. 

 

Accessible Viewing Area

We will have an Accessible Viewing Area within the event. Spaces are limited so to book in, or for more information please contact [email protected]

A dedicated Accessible Entrance via King's Stables Road will provide direct access to this viewing area.

Assembly Rooms Festival Club

Venue Description

The venue is fully accessible on the ground and first-floor areas for all visitors with mobility difficulties and accessibility needs via a lift or handrail assistance. There is no lift to the 2nd floor, and access is via steps only. On arrival at the venue via an automatic set of doors, there is a reception desk to the left with a receptionist happy to offer any assistance needed to navigate the venue. Access into the venue is flat, with no steps.

 

Access to Performance:

The venue is fully accessible on the ground and first-floor areas for all visitors with mobility difficulties and accessibility needs via a lift or handrail assistance. On arrival at the venue via an automatic set of doors, there is a reception desk to the left with a receptionist happy to offer any assistance needed to navigate the venue.

 

Toilets

Accessible toilet facilities are within easy reach of the first-floor area. Staff located around the venue can help direct to the nearest toilet area. Each cubicle contains adapted toilets with grab rails, emergency buttons, lowered mirrors, and fittings. Currently, these toilets allow for either a left or a right lateral transfer, not both.
