For over 30 years, Edinburgh’s Hogmanay has been welcoming revellers from around the world to celebrate the New Year in the heart of the city. Returning from Sunday 29 December 2024 through to Wednesday 01 January 2025, this four-day festival is filled with a spectacular programme of events honoring Hogmanay traditions, old and new. 

Join us at the ‘Home of Hogmanay’ for four days of incredible events featuring the Concert in the Gardens with headliners Texas; the world-famous Street Party with live bands, DJ’s, street theatre and unforgettable fireworks; and a packed New Year’s Day of free events with live music and family events throughout the city centre.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay returns from 29 December 2024 into New Year’s Day, welcoming the world to party into 2025 at the ‘Home of Hogmanay’! 

Join revellers from around the globe for four days of incredible events! Celebrations will kick off with the Torchlight Procession, creating a river of fire through the historic Old Town on 29 December. The Night Afore, Hot Dub Time Machine will lead the Disco Party at West Princes Street Gardens, while the Assembly Rooms will host a night of indie rock music featuring the acclaimed Idlewild and special guest. 

The last day of the year will be filled with events, including the Concert in the Gardens with headliners Texas and special guest Callum Beattie, as well as the world-famous Street Party with live bands, DJs, ceilidh dancing, street theatre, and the unforgettable Midnight Fireworks. On New Year’s Day, celebrations will carry on with a packed programme of free and ticketed events, including the First Footin’ music trail, and Sprogmanay family activities throughout the city.
