The world-famous Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party returns to the historic city centre, to once again light-up the Edinburgh skies, at one of the world’s greatest New Year celebrations.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Edinburgh Castle, this year 45,000 revellers from around the globe, will party their way into 2026 with a feast of entertainment throughout the city centre, including live music, DJ’s, Giant Screens, International Street Theatre, Pipers, Drummers, funfair attractions, delicious street food & drink throughout the arena, creating a carnival of light and sound to bring in the New Year.
Edinburgh’s Hogmanay also welcomes the return of pyrotechnic wizards Titanium to once again design one of the world’s best New Year firework displays, launched from the stunning setting of Edinburgh Castle for an unforgettable firework and light spectacular.

Entry Gates:
- Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party offers three designated entrances for attendees. Please choose your entrance gate based on where you are staying/travelling from - east/west/south - as once purchased, entry gates cannot be exchanged or modified under any circumstances. Kindly enter through your chosen gate as specified.
- South Gate Entry - Bank Street/Top of the Mound
- East Gate Entry - Princes Street East End near Balmoral Hotel
- West Gate Entry - Princes Street West End near Johnnie Walker.

- Discount for Edinburgh residents with registered addresses with a valid EH postcode (Limited Availability). Please ensure you have logged in to your account before adding tickets to your basket.
Ticket Information
- Ticket type: e-ticket
- Your ticket contains your QR code - your QR code must be scanned at your chosen Entrance Gate to access the Street Party.
- The QR code in the confirmation email contains all tickets in your order, and all tickets in your order will be validated upon scan, please make sure your whole party arrives together.

- All tickets for the Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Celebrations are paperless e-tickets.
- The QR code in the confirmation email contains all tickets, and all tickets will be validated upon scan, so please make sure all parties arrive together.
- Each ticket must be scanned prior to entry.
- Please download your e-ticket to your digital device and have the QR code ready to be scanned on the night at your chosen entry gate. Google and Apple wallet have been enabled to make this easier. Please be aware that internet access may be limited due to the large number of people in the area.
- Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party tickets DO NOT allow access into the Concert in the Gardens event in West Princes Street Gardens.
- Anyone under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.
- No persons under 12 years of age are permitted at the Street Party.
- The maximum number of containers you can bring into the Street Party event arena is 4 per person.
- This event has a strict NO-DRONE policy.
- Avoid bringing any bags larger than a sheet of A3 paper (297mm x 420mm).
- Please note, in the interests of safety, Event Organisers reserve the right to conduct security searches of bags and clothing on entry.
- Please arrive early; the last entry 23:00 (11pm).
- Please note specific entry gates may be closed temporarily throughout the event for safety reasons. You would be directed to your nearest entrance gate on arrival.
- Re-entry to the event is NOT permitted (i.e. leaving the Street Party arena and then trying to regain admittance).
- Alcohol can be brought into the Street Party event arena in only plastic or metal containers under 500ml. Glass is not permitted.
- This is an outdoor event taking place in winter in Scotland. Please dress accordingly and note that we operate a no-umbrellas policy for safety reasons and to ensure sightlines of other people. We will provide weather updates across all four days of events and be prepared for all weather eventualities.
Event Safety
- Edinburgh’s Hogmanay events are enormously popular, always attract lively crowds with a great atmosphere and are also incredibly safe. We work closely with the City of Edinburgh Council, Police Scotland and other emergency services and have Ticketing teams, security officers and event stewards as well as medical teams and welfare staff to assist you should you need it. But please remember, you can also do your bit to make sure we all have a happy and safe New Year.
- In the interests of safety, Event Organisers reserve the right to conduct security searches of bags and clothing on entry
- Avoid bringing any bags larger than a sheet of A3 paper (297mm x 420mm).
- Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party is a busy event with temporary structures and animation which can change the “normal” streetscape, please look after each other and arrange a meeting point in case you become separated.
- Please note any part of the arena may be closed temporarily throughout the event for safety reasons. There is plenty of space across the arena and event stewards are on duty to assist.
- Do listen out for announcements and follow any instructions given out – they are for your benefit.
Prohibited Items
Please note the following list of prohibited items which will not be permitted at the event for safety:
- No Glass of any kind
- This event has a strict NO-DRONE policy.
- No Flares or Smoke Canisters
- No Chinese Lanterns
- No portable laser equipment or pens
- No pyrotechnics/fireworks (we have more than enough for everyone to enjoy)
- No Umbrellas
- No Dogs or Animals (except registered assistance dogs)
- No unauthorised professional film or camera equipment. Cameras for personal use are welcome.
