1. Can I resell my Hogmanay Event tickets?
No, the resale of Hogmanay Events is strictly prohibited. Reselling tickets breaches our terms and conditions, and any tickets found to have been resold may be invalidated without a refund.
We aim to maintain fairness in our ticketing process, which is why resale is not allowed.
2. Can I gift my Hogmanay Event tickets to friends or family?
Yes, you may gift your tickets to friends or family. However, you must provide a signed Letter of Authority confirming that the tickets are a gift and have not been resold.
The Letter of Authority should include:
- Your full name and contact details.
- The recipient’s full name and contact details.
- The event name and ticket details (e.g., entry gate, number of tickets).
- A clear statement that the tickets are being gifted.
- Your signature and the date.
The recipient must bring the Letter of Authority along with their photo ID when attending the event.
3. What happens if someone resells their tickets?
If tickets are discovered to have been resold, they may be cancelled, and the purchaser may be refused entry to the event. This policy helps to prevent unauthorised resale and ensures fairness for all ticket buyers.
4. How do I provide the Letter of Authority if gifting tickets?
You can write the Letter of Authority by hand or type it out and sign it. Ensure all the required details (as listed in Question 2) are included. The recipient should carry a printed or digital copy of the letter and their photo ID when attending the event.
5. Is there a deadline for gifting my tickets?
There is no specific deadline for gifting tickets. However, we recommend completing the process well in advance of the event to avoid any potential issues.
6. Will the recipient have any issues entering the event if tickets are gifted?
As long as the recipient provides a valid Letter of Authority and a photo ID that matches the details in the letter, they will not encounter any problems gaining entry. It is essential to follow the guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth experience.
