Your Visit
Edinburgh’s Hogmanay has welcomed millions of revellers from around the world to celebrate the New Year in the heart of the city for over 30 years. Earning Edinburgh the nickname ‘Home of Hogmanay’, and one of the world’s biggest New Year celebrations, the 4-day festival encompasses old and new traditions including music, fireworks, ceilidhs, comedy, family events and more.
This year’s spectacular programme of events kicks off with the glorious Torchlight Procession, which sees the Capital illuminated by a river of fire cascading through the historic Old Town.
Other highlights include the beloved Concert in the Gardens, this year headlined by none other than Isle of Wight indie-rock icons Wet Leg. With support from homegrown talent Hamish Hawk and Glasgow’s Lucia & The Best Boys, the final gig of 2025 (and the first 2026!) is set to be a cracker. These brilliant artists will join the Concert in the Garden’s hall of fame alongside Paolo Nutini, Pet Shop Boys, Pulp, Biffy Clyro and many more.
The world-famous Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party also returns with live bands, DJs, street theatre and magical Midnight Fireworks from Edinburgh Castle. Kick off 2026 with First Footin’, the New Year’s Day celebration with free live music and family events throughout the city centre.
