Edinburgh's Hogmanay welcomes the world to party into the New Year at the 'Home of Hogmanay'!

29 December 2025 - New Year's Day 2026

For over 30 years, Edinburgh's Hogmanay has welcomed revellers from around the world to celebrate the New Year in the heart of the historic city. The festival is filled with a spectacular programme of events honouring Hogmanay traditions, old and new featuring the traditional Torchlight Procession, creating a river of fire through the historic Old Town, headline 'Concert in the Gardens' beneath Edinburgh Castle; which in past years has welcomed Paolo Nutini, Pet Shop Boys, Pulp, Biffy Clyro and many more to play the last gig of the year, and first of the New Year; the world-famous Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party with live bands, DJ's, street theatre and unforgettable Midnight Fireworks from Edinburgh Castle; and a packed New Year's Day of free events with live music and family events throughout the city centre.

JUST ANNOUNCED: The Night Afore Concert (30th Dec) beneath Edinburgh Castle welcomes folk-rock superstars Peat & Diesel and special guest RuMac, for a raucous and unforgettable start to Hogmanay celebrations, a night of high-energy tunes that will have the whole city jumping.
