Step back in time, as global smash-hit and time-travelling DJ sensation Hot Dub Time Machine returns to Edinburgh’s Hogmanay for the first time in a decade to headline this year’s Night Afore Disco Party, beneath the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, and marking the Australian DJ’s only UK appearance in 2024. 

The Edinburgh Fringe sensation will bring his famous ‘dance through the decades’ audio-visual party to West Princes Street Gardens on Monday 30 December, joined by very special guests The Cuban Brothers and Edinburgh funk trio High Fade 

Since launching in 2011, Hot Dub Time Machine has become a global phenomenon with sell-out shows and festival appearances everywhere from T in the Park to Coachella. The self-proclaimed ‘best. party. ever’ and world’s first time-travelling DJ returns to Edinburgh with a show packed full of non-stop bangers from 1962 to 2024, making it the perfect party night out. 

Hot Dub Time Machine will be joined on the Night Afore by legendary music and comedy act The Cuban Brothers, who have played alongside the likes of Prince, Fatboy Slim and more. Having marked their 25th anniversary in 2023, the trio are renowned worldwide for their party-starting skills, funk-fuelled music and hilarious skits and stories. 

Plus, Edinburgh’s own High Fade will kickstart the party with their inimitable brand of razor-sharp funk and disco, with their debut album set to be released 20 November, having honed their energetic live shows on a UK-wide tour. 

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is Hot Dub Time Machine’s only UK appearance for 2024, as DJ Tom Lowndes returns to the festival after a previous sold-out appearance at the Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party in 2014.

Taking place in West Princes Street Gardens and set against the backdrop of the iconic Edinburgh Castle

Ticket holders will have access to outdoor bars, street food and dedicated toilet facilities within the Concert

There are two main entrances into the Night Afore Concert, plus an accessible and Premium Ticket holder entrance from Lothian Road (King Stables Road)

• East Gate – Bottom of the Mound into Princes St Gardens via the Floral Clock Gardens Gate
• West Gate - Princes Street (west-end into Princes St Gardens via West-end Gardens Gate)
• Accessible & Premium Gate – Kings Stables Road (St Cuthberts Church into Princes St Gardens via Golden Gates)

PLEASE NOTE:

• Night Afore Disco Party is an all-standing outdoor event in winter, and please be prepared for a very busy event and winter weather
• Night Afore Disco Party takes place in a designated event arena in West Princes Street Gardens
• Please confirm your preferred entrance gate when you book tickets.
• For safety reasons, no under 12’s are permitted at the Night Afore Disco Party
• Anyone under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age
• No alcohol can be brought into the Night Afore Disco Party event; there are bar and food facilities available at the event
• Re-entry to the Night Afore Disco Party is NOT permitted (i.e. leaving the Night Afore Disco Party event arena and then trying to regain admittance)
• Please arrive early, doors open at 5.30pm, and the stage is live from 6.35pm. Late arrival may result in having to queue for entry
• This event has a strict NO-DRONE policy
• Avoid bringing any bags larger than a sheet of A3 paper (297mm x 420mm)
• Please note, in the interests of safety, Event Organisers reserve the right to conduct security searches of bags and clothing on entry
