Celebrating 20 years of The Edinburgh Santa Fun Run & Walk!
Sunday 8th December 2024 fundraising Santa’s & Elves will run, jog or walk around West Princes Street Gardens. Spread over a 2.5km circuit, this event is a great way to enjoy time with friends and family, whilst raising money for a deserving cause, When You Wish Upon A Star.
What’s more, you don’t have to be a runner to take part.
All money raised from the Edinburgh Santa Fun Run & Walk will be used to help fund Wishes creating the most magical of memories for our Wish children.

The Edinburgh Santa Fun Run & Walk 2024
Sunday 8th December at West Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh
Registration opens 9.30am | Registration closes 10:45am
Festive Warm up from 9.30-10.45am
Fun run & Walk starts at 11am
Event Finishes from 12:30pm
Event finishing time will be dependant on the number of participants taking part.
Parking:
There are multiple on Street paid parking facilities around the city centre of Edinburgh.
Travel:
West Princes Street Gardens is at a central point off Princes Street where you can gain access to the gardens from all gates.

If coming from out of Edinburgh via a train we would recommend to choose Edinburgh Waverley Station as your destination point and then walk over to West Princes Street Gardens

* We all love the Scottish weather and with our event being held in December we ask all Santa's and Elves to think about leaving behind their Flip Flops, shorts and t-shirts for the event, dress accordingly and have sensible footwear for the time of year *
We are working with the team at West Princes Gardens who will have the paths cleared for our event!
Personal items and bags:
When You Wish Upon a Star takes no responsibility of any personal items.
Do not bring large bags with you for the Edinburgh Santa Fun Run & Walk
There will be no bag drop off during the event ALL participants must keep all belongings on them at all times.
* Please remain vigilant at all times and if you are concerned at any time please inform a Wish event team member who will be wearing a high vis vest *
