Conditions of Entry

Unique Assembly Ltd, organisers of Edinburgh’s Christmas 2025, reserves the right, at its absolute discretion to refuse admission to any person and/or eject any person from the Edinburgh’s Christmas sites (including: West Princes St Gardens Funfair, George St Ice Rink and Ice Bar and East Princes St Gardens Markets) if it considers that person’s behaviour or conduct is causing, or is likely to cause (without limitation), damage, injury; nuisance; or distress to others: without issuing a refund. This includes anti-social behaviour, being intoxicated, disorderly, aggressive or under the influence of illegal substances. 

 

Code of Conduct

By entering an Edinburgh’s Christmas site visitors are agreeing to the below code of conduct: 

  • Edinburgh’s Christmas aims to be an inclusive, welcoming and a positive festive experience for all those visiting. 
  • Edinburgh’s Christmas will not accept inappropriate behaviour from any visitors towards other members of public or towards any of our staff, traders or contractors, and vice versa.
  • Unique Assembly defines inappropriate behaviour as any form of written, verbal or physical abuse or threats, use of derogatory or discriminatory language or actions, any form of harassment, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia. 

Unique Assembly management reserve the right to take action at their discretion to address any individuals or groups that may violate the above code of conduct and this may result in removal from our event site or attraction or refusal of entry. 

 

Searches & Prohibited Items

In order to ensure all Edinburgh’s Christmas event sites are a safe environment, Unique Assembly Ltd reserve the right to conduct searches. We may search you, your clothing, bags or other items at our discretion. Failure to co-operate in a search may result in you being refused entry or being ejected from any Edinburgh’s Christmas site without a refund. You may be denied future entry to our sites if you refuse a search.

We reserve the right to confiscate items that may include (without limitation): 

  • Alcoholic beverages (not purchased at an Edinburgh’s Christmas bar) or containers for alcoholic beverages;
  • Glass of any kind; 
  • Professional cameras and recording equipment; unless authorized by our press team: contact [email protected];
  • Any items which are or may be illegal including, without limitation, weapons, fireworks, ammunition, drugs or other controlled substances; 
    Whistles, drums and other instruments
  • Large umbrellas or other items which, in our opinion, may cause danger or disruption during a show or to the general flow of the site e.g. chairs;
  • Any other items which we believe may cause danger or disruption in the event site (regardless of whether or not they are illegal or carried for a specific purpose)

 

Further Conditions of Entry

Edinburgh’s Christmas operate a strict challenge 25 policy at all our bars. Please be prepared to show photographic ID if you look under 25.

Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.

It is always your responsibility to keep your personal possessions safe. Unique Assembly Ltd will not be held liable for the loss, damage or theft of any items.

By attending any Unique Assembly Ltd event site, you consent to being filmed or recorded (photo, video, or audio) by Unique Assembly Ltd, Police Scotland, or security for safety and monitoring purposes. 

CCTV will be in operation across all Edinburgh’s Christmas event sites for the purpose of public safety and crime prevention. We are registered with ICO and for further information, please contact [email protected]
