Experience the magic of First Footin’, a diverse program of live music at the heart of our historic city and beyond, showcasing both beloved Scottish artists and the brightest emerging talents in a multi-venue extravaganza. This year, First Footin’ expands into a city-wide festival! We’re returning to Edinburgh’s iconic landmarks including St Giles Cathedral and Greyfriars Kirk, favourite pubs including Cold Town House and The Huxley, and other venues across the Old and New Town inluding the Fruitmarket Warehouse and The Speigeltent on St Andrew Square. Plus this year, we’re venturing further afield to Leith and Portobello ensuring every corner of our city can start the New Year with a sing-song - the true Scottish way!
What better way to welcome in the New Year than winding your way through genres with live music from artists including, Valtos, Dead Pony, Bee Asha, Mama Terra, Norman&Corrie, Spyres, and more!
Not to be missed is the acclaimed folk singer-songwriter Karine Polwart who will host a stunning performance alongside a 200-strong choir in the historic St Giles Cathedral. Singers of all abilities have been invited to join the community choir for the day as part of a special ‘Come Away In’ performance!
