Accessibility

This event takes place in the City Centre, where most surfaces are standard roads or public paths. Tram lines run along the middle of Princes Street. Please note the Street Party is an all-standing event with no seating areas available, and it can become very busy.  

There will be an Accessible Viewing Area within the event arena. Spaces are limited - please contact us on [email protected] for more information. A dedicated Accessible Entrance via our East Gate on Princes Street will provide direct access to this viewing area. Gender neutral accessible toilets are located throughout the Street Party arena and close to the Accessible Viewing Area.

Ticket Information

All tickets for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations are paperless e-tickets. Your confirmation email contains a QR code for all tickets in your order.

Your QR code must be scanned at your chosen Entrance Gate to access the Street Party. All tickets in your order will be validated upon scan, please make sure your whole party arrives together. 

Please download your e-ticket to your digital device and have the QR code ready to be scanned on the night. Your QR Code can be stored in Google and Apple wallets. Please be aware that internet access may be limited due to the large number of people in the area.   

Entry

Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party offers three designated entrances for attendees. Please choose your entrance gate based on where you are staying/travelling from - east/west/south - as once purchased, entry gates cannot be exchanged or modified under any circumstances. Kindly enter through your chosen gate as specified. 

• South Gate - Bank Street/Top of the Mound 
• East Gate Entry - Princes Street East End near Balmoral Hotel 
• West Gate Entry - Princes Street West End near Johnnie Walker.

Event Guidelines

Please note Street Party tickets DO NOT allow access to the Concert in the Gardens event in West Princes Street Gardens.

• No persons under 12 years of age are permitted at the Street Party. Anyone under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age
• Alcohol can be brought into the Street Party event arena in only plastic or metal containers under 500ml. The maximum number of containers you can bring is 4 per person. Glass is not permitted
• This event has a strict NO-DRONE policy
• Avoid bringing any bags larger than a sheet of A3 paper (297mm x 420mm)
• Please arrive early; the last entry 23:00 (11pm)
• Re-entry to the event is NOT permitted (i.e. leaving the Street Party arena and then trying to regain admittance)
• Please note specific entry gates may be closed temporarily throughout the event for safety reasons. If your gate is temporarily closed, you will be directed to your nearest entrance gate on arrival 

This is an outdoor event taking place in winter in Scotland. Please dress accordingly and note that we operate a no-umbrellas policy for safety reasons and to ensure sightlines of other people. We will provide weather updates across all four days of events. 

Prohibited Items

⁠Please note the following list of prohibited items which will not be permitted at the event for safety:

• No Glass of any kind 
• This event has a strict NO-DRONE policy
• No Flares or Smoke Canisters 
• No Chinese Lanterns 
• No portable laser equipment or pens 
• No pyrotechnics/fireworks (we have more than enough for everyone to enjoy) 
• No Umbrellas 
• No Dogs or Animals (except registered assistance dogs) 
• No unauthorised professional film or camera equipment. Cameras for personal use are welcome

EH Postcode Discount

Discount for Edinburgh residents with registered addresses with a valid EH postcode (Limited Availability). Please ensure you have logged in to your account before adding tickets to your basket.

There will be hourly Firework Teasers from 21:00 until the Midnight Moment Fireworks & Auld Lang Syne at 00:00.
