Who says Christmas can’t come early! Edinburgh’s Christmas is once again offering local residents a discount on rides and attractions at this year’s Christmas Market, Sat 15 Nov 2025 – Sun 4 Jan 2026.   

Residents with an EH postcode can enter the Christmas spirit with a 20% discount on tickets to a selection of Edinburgh’s Christmas events this year. So, jump on a tram, train or bus and come join in the festive fun with us!   

Enjoy one of the best views of the city from atop the LNER Big Wheel, Scotland’s largest Ferris-wheel standing at 45 metres tall! Or brave the dizzying heights of the Star Flyer offering a breathtaking panorama of the Christmas Markets. 

Take a break from the Christmas shopping on Edinburgh’s famous George Street, and glide around the magnificent Ice Rink enjoying Edinburgh’s beautiful Georgian skyline.

Bringing the whole family? Pay a visit to Santa and his elves to hear a Christmas tale and receive a festive gift, then spend some quality time together our the family funfair in West Princes Street Gardens.    

Claiming the discount couldn’t be easier  

• Register for/log in to your Edinburgh’s Christmas account with an eligible postal address. 
• Once registered, we’ll save your details so that next time you need only provide a name and email to make the most of this offer. 
• Now, add your standard priced tickets to your basket with a payment card registered to an eligible postal address. 
• Check to make sure that your 20% discount has been applied to the relevant tickets in your basket before booking. 
• If you are purchasing in person, ask for the EH Local Resident Discount and bring a proof of address to one of our on-site box offices or ticket staff at rides. Box Offices will be available at West Princes Street Gardens, East Princes Street Gardens, and George Street.
