More trains, more seats, more choice
From Sunday 14 December 2025, train times on the East Coast Mainline have changed, including services to and from Edinburgh Waverley. It’s good news for visits to Edinburgh’s Christmas, as there's an increase in the number of LNER trains per week and quicker journey times of around 4hrs 10mins to and from London King’s Cross on many services.
